BEIJING -- A 7.8-magnitude earthquake hit northern Peru at 3:41 p.m. Sunday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).
The epicenter was monitored at 5.85 degrees south latitude and 75.18 degrees west longitude, and the quake struck at a depth of 100 km, the center said. (Xinhua)
