MANILA -- Developer DMCI Homes is allocating an estimated PHP7 billion to build two more condominium projects in Quezon City, following the sales success of its previous projects in the area.

DMCI Homes President Alfredo Austria said the company is eyeing to build two single-tower developments in the city this year, The Crestmont and Cameron Residences, to add to its growing list of projects in the former Philippine capital.

Austria said PHP3 billion will be spent for the development of Cameron Residences in Mapalad Street, Roosevelt Avenue while PHP4 billion is allotted for the development of The Crestmont along Panay Avenue in Barangay South Triangle.

“We are confident that demand will continue to remain robust especially with the ongoing construction of big-ticket infrastructure projects in the city like the Metro Manila Subway project,” he said.

To be built on a premium location adjacent to the MRT-3 Quezon Avenue station, The Crestmont is seen to draw even more interest from property hunters with its proximity to one of the proposed stations of the country’s first intercity underground railway which is now under construction.

The 36-kilometer train line from Quirino Highway in Quezon City to NAIA Terminal 3 in Pasay City, will have 15 stations, seven of which will pass through Quezon City.

Equally attractive to homebuyers and investors is Cameron Residences because of its proximity to the Skyway extension project that will link the South Luzon Expressway to the North Luzon Expressway. Once completed, the transportation infrastructure is expected to reduce travel time from Quezon City to Makati City to just half an hour.

The Crestmont and Cameron Residences are among the 10 PHP104-billion-worth of projects that DMCI Homes is eyeing to launch this year.

The two projects will add to DMCI Homes’ sterling roster of resort-inspired projects in Quezon City, which include Infina Towers, The Orabella, and The Celandine and ready for occupancy projects like Zinnia Towers, Viera Residences, The Amaryllis, One Castilla Place, The Manors at Celebrity Place, The Redwoods, Stellar Place, Magnolia Place, and Accolade Place, which are being pre-sold.
