MANILA -- Make your way to Korea using your travel photos!

South Korean flag carrier, Korean Air (KE), will launch its annual travel photo contest on July 12, with 65 winners out to receive flight tickets and a plaque.

So Yeon Park, KE's Global Communication Team assistant manager, told the Philippine News Agency (PNA) on Wednesday that the contest is open to people from any part of the world.

Until August 19, interested individuals may send their entries, either personally or by mail. Entries may depict nature, scenery, and lives of people globally.

Participants may also experiment with their shots and send aerial or underwater photographs, too.

For 2019, the contest was divided to two categories: General Awards and Special Awards.

The General Awards are for photos that show the photographer's most memorable travel moment. The Special Awards, meanwhile, carries the theme, "Go Beyond", to encourage participants to take photos in unconventional way, or show photos with new perspective.

A panel of judges will choose the 65 best entries. The Grand Prize winner will get two international Prestige Class round-trip tickets, two domestic Prestige Class round-trip tickets plus a camera.

An awarding ceremony is scheduled on November 6 at the Ilwoo Space, Korean Air Building in Seoul wherein the winning entries will be exhibited as well as at the National Museum of Korea, and Jeju Airport.

The winning photos will also be featured in KE's 2020 calendar. (PNA)
