DAVAO CITY — Ryan “The Fire Fist” Lumacad of General Santos City will fight against dangerous Nawaphon“Nakornlo” Kaikana of Thailand in Bangkok on July 20.

The 27-year-old Lumacad (14W-2L-3D, 8KO) recently won by retirement over Brian Diano of Cayayan de Oro in the fourth round at the Gaisano Mall of Bacolod last Feb. 17, 2018.

However, Lumacad lost by TKO in the fourth round to Karoon Jarupialerd in Thailand at Workpoint Studio in Bang Phun last September 22, 2018.

Lumacad suffered an injury on his left fist during the fight and had to take a rest. This time, he is back in form and wants to win again.

“Okay na ako at magaling na ako,” said Lumacad, who is now training here with his ex-boxer sibling Fernando. They are scheduled to fly to Thailand on July 17.

Kaikana, on the other hand, knocked out former WBC World flyweight champion Sonny Boy Jaro of Negros Occidental in the seventh round to retain the WBC Asian Boxing Council bantamweight title last May 18.

The 27 year-old Kaikana improved his record to 45 wins with 35 knockouts against 1 loss and 1 draw.

The 8-round fight will be held at the WP Boxing in Bangkok. (PNA)
