For her part, DA Calabarzon Regional Livestock Program Coordinator Vilma M. Dimaculangan who also heads the Integrated Laboratory Division called on industry stakeholders to gain a grasp on the current situation and challenges confronting the livestock and poultry industry in the region.

“It is very important for us, industry players, to fully understand our current situation. By this, we will be able to strategize and plan actions particularly for possible calamities and incidents of disease outbreaks,” Dimaculangan urged.

She also encouraged the region’s agriculture sector to focus their direction in attaining a sustainable as well as universally competitive livestock and poultry industry.
