30th SEA Games gets more partners

MANILA -- The Philippine South East Asian Games Organizing Committee (PHISGOC) has received commitment of support from two new partners that will beef up the preparations for hosting of the 30th South East Asian Games.

PHISGOC chief operating officer Ramon Suzara represented PHISGOC in a signing ceremony at the Sofitel Manila during the Broadcast Conference that they organized on Tuesday.

PHISGOC welcomed Skyworth Group Limited and Cignal TV Inc. to their growing list of private and international partners that will boost the government’s efforts to stage a successful hosting of the SEA games this year.

Skyworth, a leading supplier of uniquely advanced and affordable technology solutions is represented by their general manager, Johnny Wang.

Cignal TV, country's premier Direct to Home (DTH) satellite provider is represented by its president and CEO, Jane Basas.

“We are confident that we can raise the standards of hosting to world-class level given the support and trust given by numerous private and international partners,” Suzara said.

The Philippines recently received praises and commendations from the Chefs de Mission of the other participating countries, who visited two weeks ago in line with the preparations for the SEA games.

Suzara expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming support from local and international partners from the private sector since last year.

“The positive support that we get from the President as well as the entire Filipino nation boosts the morale of all the members of the organizing team.” Suzara added.

Earlier this year, PHISGOC welcomed popular sport brands Mikasa, Marathon, Molten and Asics, represented by Sonak Corporation; national carrier Philippine Airlines; Ajinomoto and Pocari Sweat as partners for this year’s SEA games. (PR)
