MANILA -- Tropical Storm Ineng slightly slowed down, and is less likely to make landfall in the country, the weather bureau said Thursday afternoon.
"Ineng" was last eyed 670 km. east of Casiguran, Aurora, heading west northwest at 10 km., with maximum sustained winds of up to 75 km. per hour (kph) near the center, and gustiness of up to 90 kph, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Tropical cyclone warning signal no. 1 was raised over Batanes, Cagayan, Babuyan Group of Islands, Isabela, Apayao, Kalinga, northern Abra and Ilocos Norte.
Moderate to heavy rains will prevail over Batanes, Cagayan, Babuyan Group of Islands, Ilocos Norte, and Apayao likely until Friday.
Light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains, on the other hand, will be experienced over Metro Manila, central Luzon, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro provinces, northern portions of Palawan (including Calamian and Cuyo Islands), and the rest of the Ilocos, Cordillera, and Cagayan Valley regions.
For Thursday night, PAGASA forecast moderate to occasionally heavy rains over Catanduanes, and light to moderate with intermittent heavy rains over Metro Manila, Ilocos, the Cordillera, Zambales, Bataan, Cavite, Batangas, Mindoro provinces, northern portions of Palawan (including Calamian and Cuyo Islands), Antique, Aklan, and the rest of the Bicol region.
Meanwhile, sea travel is risky over the eastern seaboards of central Luzon and southern Luzon, and the Visayas due to potentially rough sea conditions, PAGASA said. (PNA)
