CALASIAO, Pangasinan -- Some eight barangays in Santa Barbara and this town remain flooded due to Tropical Depression (TD) "Ineng" that was experienced all over Pangasinan.

Ron Castillo, duty officer of the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), said the highest flood level is recorded at Barangay Talibaew here which has reached 6.2 feet.

"The flooding was caused by rain brought about by Tropical Depression (TD) Ineng and it is expected to worsen with the effect of TD Jenny," Castillo said in an interview Tuesday.

As of 10 a.m. Tuesday, other flooded barangays were Sonquil and Dalongue in Santa Barbara; as well as Barangays Nalsian, Lumbang, Longos, Buenlag, and Lasip in this town, he said.

"No evacuation has been reported yet by the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Offices. The residents are already used to it but we are in close coordination in case of preemptive evacuation," he added.

Castillo said TD Jenny is expected to make landfall in Aurora province at 11 p.m. Tuesday.

"The intermittent heavy rains will be between tonight and tomorrow (Wednesday) morning, so we advised our fellow Pangasinenses to take precautionary actions," he said.

Castillo said flooding in this town and Dagupan City is also expected due to the expected high tide on Wednesday morning.

"The tide level averages to three feet. At 6:59 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday), tide level will be at 3.5 feet, which will likely flood low-lying areas and might cause flash floods," he said. (PNA)
