MANILA -- Pasig Chooks missed out on sustaining a good start and lost to Lyon, 17-20, in the quarterfinals of the Chooks-To-Go FIBA 3x3 Manila Challenger at the SM Fairview Events Center in Quezon City on Sunday.

Lyon, behind Raphael Wilson, went on a late 6-0 surge to steal the lead from Pasig for good before holding off one last push from the home side.

Raphael Giaimo made seven points, while Wilson and Herve Toure each added five for Lyon, which will face Gagarin, 21-18 winner over Humpolec in another quarterfinal clash, in the semifinals.

Nikola Pavlovic made nine markers for Pasig, the remaining Filipino team left in the tournament, a qualifier for the FIBA 3x3 World Tour Jeddah Masters.

The Philippines will still be represented in Jeddah as Balanga Chooks, by getting a direct invite, punched a ticket there.

The Scores:

Lyon 20 -- Giaimo 7, Touré 5, Wilson 5, Girma 3.

Pasig 17 -- Pavlovic 9, Munzon 7, Ababou 1, Rike 0. (PNA)
