MANILA -- Members of South Korean girl group Weki Meki have expressed their desire to experience more of what the Philippines has to offer, during their performance in Manila on Saturday.
The girls were back in the country as one of the performers in online travel services booking firm, Klook's second year here.
In the question and answer segment with their fans, the ladies said they would love to try Filipino food, such as “karekare, sinigang and adobo”.
Most members, meanwhile, mentioned Cebu as the place they would love to visit.
"We want to go scuba diving, and we want to see Kawasan Falls," they said.
Ji Soo-yeon, Kim Do-yeon, Choi Yoo-jung, Sei, Elly, Lua, Rina and Lucy, also lauded the high energy of Filipino fans.
"The crowd has always been like this. Now that we're back, you guys are even wilder," they said through the help of an interpreter. They further commented that "the energy of Filipino fans is out of this world".
Lua So, who could speak English, noted that the group appreciates the Filipino fans' support. Weki Meki was among the K-pop acts in a show in Manila in 2018.
