3 ‘human traffickers’ arrested, 3 minors rescued in Maguindanao

COTABATO CITY -- Police authorities in Parang, Maguindanao arrested on Saturday three men accused of human trafficking by a town police office in Bukidnon.

Lt. Col. Ibrahim Jambiran, Parang police chief, identified the suspects as Reyndon Takbao, 20; Mary Ann Neri, 30; and Alexander Neri, 43, all of Kalilangan, Bukidnon.

According to Jambiran, the Kalilangan municipal police office had coordinated with his office about the presence of the three suspects in his area of jurisdiction.

“Immediately, we conducted a joint operation that led to the arrest of the suspects and the rescue of three minors,” Jambiran said.

The three minors, aged 14, 15, and 16, respectively, are now reunited with their families in Kalilangan, Bukidnon.

The suspects are currently detained at the Parang police custodial facility while charges for human trafficking are readied against them. (PNA)
