MANILA-- The Philippine government, through the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), on Wednesday condemned as "deplorable" the recent bombing of two Aramco oil facilities in Saudi Arabia.

"The Philippine Government strongly condemns the attack on civilians and non-military facilities in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia," the DFA said in a press statement.

"The drone strikes against Saudi Aramco facilities on 14 September 2019 are unjustified and deplorable," it said.

The attacks on Aramco facilities in Abqaiq and Khurais prompted Saudi to suspend about 50 percent of its oil production, which corresponds to nearly two million barrels per day.

Earlier, Saudi Arabia's Energy Minister Abdulaziz bin Salman Al Saud said Saudi oil production would be fully restored by the end of September. (PNA)
