Lt. Gen. Cirilito Sobejana, Westmincom chief, said Thursday the medical equipment was donated by the Australian Masonic Friends of the Philippines, Inc. (AMFOPI) to Westmincom through the Camp Navarro General Hospital (CNGH).

Sobejana said the medical equipment, which were handed over Monday to the CNGH included hospital beds, shower and plastic chairs, walker frames, toilet seats, bedside tables, rehab walkers, crutches, sofa, wheelchair, and food warmers.

Lt. Col. Maria Victoria Mandin, CNGH commanding officer, received the medical equipment from Dr. Raul Amor, the AMFOPI representative.

Lt. Col. Reynaldo Narisma, Post Command Chaplain, led the blessing of the medical equipment at the CNGH.

Sobejana said the donated equipment will be "utilized by our medical forces, especially those deployed in conflict-affected areas, to ensure that every wounded soldier extricated from the battleground will be treated with due care, and that we do not lose a comrade because of inadequate health care service."

He said the medical equipment will be distributed to the Edwin Andrews Air Base and the 1st, 6th, and 11th Infantry Divisions, the operating units of the Westmincom.
