MANILA -- PAL Express was recently awarded as among Asia's Top 100 Employers during the 10th Asia's Best Employer Brand Awards held in Singapore, the carrier announced Friday.
"This award is significant as it recognizes our commitment to take care of our people by developing new talent, and strengthening (the) skills of our current workforce," PAL Express president Bonifacio Sam said in a message to reporters.
He added that the award was a result of the strong collaboration between the PAL Express management and its workforce.
"This (award) serves as an inspiration for us to work even harder in training, nurturing and molding our workers well so they may serve the riding public with technical and managerial excellence anchored on (PAL's) Buong Pusong Alaga philosophy," Sam said.
PAL Express, which employs 1,432 personnel, is the domestic airline under the PAL Group.
Philippine Airlines (PAL) spokesperson Cielo Villaluna said the group is very happy as the recognition is the first HR-related award for PAL Express.
According to Villaluna, the carrier was recognized for its efforts to promote employee welfare and engagement through social media, simplify employment processes with the use of automation, nurture talents through career developments programs and boost talent acquisition to become a top-of-mind employer choice.
The Asia's Best Employer Branding Awards, hosted by the Employer Branding Institute – India last August 15, is given annually to companies who adopt the best practices in Employer Branding, Talent Management, Talent Development and Talent Innovation.
This awards program is conducted in cooperation with the World Federation of Human Resources Professionals, Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) Asia, Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) Asia. (PNA)
