CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga—The Police Regional Office 3 (Central Luzon) on Thursday received a big boost in its anti-criminality efforts after accepting 36 newly-acquired motorcycles from the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) Logistics Support Service.

The new motorcycles will be distributed to the seven police provincial offices of the region as part of the capability enhancement initiative of the PNP.

Brig. General Joel Napoleon Coronel, PRO-3 director, said the arrival of the motorcycles was very timely since several pro-active anti-criminality campaigns of the regional police are in effect, especially the campaign against motorcycle-riding suspects and the round-the-clock conduct of anti-criminality checkpoints and mobile patrolling.

“With this improvement in mobility, I am in no doubt that more positive accomplishments will be achieved and that the public can expect us to respond promptly to incidents as well as for the quick delivery of our police services especially now that in less than two months, we will be holding the 30th SEA Games. The procurement of the motorcycles is very timely as this would be of great help in our anti-criminality measures,” Coronel said.

He urged members of PRO-3 to provide the people of Central Luzon the quality police service that is expected of them and to always go the extra mile in serving the public.

He also reminded the end-users to take good care of the motorcycles. (PNA)
