3 weather systems affecting PH Monday

MANILA -- Three weather systems are affecting the country -- the trough of a low pressure area (LPA), the northeast monsoon, and the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ), which will bring rain showers in most parts of the country, the Philippine Atmospheric, said the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

In its 4 a.m. weather forecast, PAGASA said Metro Manila, Zambales, Bataas, Cavite, Batangas and Mindoro provinces will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the trough of LPA.

Caraga and Davao region will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to ITCZ.

Ilocos region, Cordillera Administrative region and Cagayan Valley will be cloudy with light rains caused by the northeast monsoon.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

Metro Manila temperature ranges from 25-36 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 23-32 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 16-24 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 26-32 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao 26-32 degrees Celsius. (PNA)
