LPA trough to bring rains Monday

MANILA -- The trough of a low pressure area (LPA) is affecting the eastern section of the country Monday.

In its 4 a.m. weather forecast Monday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that Calabarzon, Bicol region, Eastern Visayas, Caraga, Davao region and Aurora will have cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms caused by the trough of the LPA.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms.

The seaboards of northern and central Luzon will experience moderate to strong winds from the northeast and west with rough coastal waters.

Moderate to strong winds from the northeast to northwest will bring rough coastal waters in the eastern section of southern Luzon.

Temperature in Metro Manila ranges from 25-32 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 22-28 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 15-23 degrees Celsius; SBMA 24-29 degrees Celsius; Lipa City 23-32 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 25-32 degrees Celsius and Metro Davao 23-33 degrees Celsius. (PNA)
