TS 'Ramon' brings rains to most of PH Friday

MANILA -- Tropical storm "Ramon" (international name Kalmaegi) will bring rains in most parts of the country Friday.

In its severe weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said that as of 3 a.m., the center of Ramon was estimated at 455 kilometers east northeast of Casiguran, Aurora with maximum sustained winds of 75 kms per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 90 kph.

It is moving north at 15 kph.

Cagayan Valley, Bicol Region, Western Visayas, Eastern Visayas, and the provinces of Apayao, Aurora, Quezon, Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers caused by the northeast monsoon.

Metro Manila temperature ranges from 25-31 degrees Celsius; Tuguegarao City 21-28 degrees Celsius; Baguio City 16-21 degrees Celsius; Metro Cebu 25-32 degrees Celsius; and Metro Davao 25-34 degrees Celsius. (PNA)
