MANILA -- Tropical Storm Sarah and the low- pressure area (LPA) that used to be Tropical Depression Ramon will bring rains over Luzon, the weather bureau said Wednesday afternoon.

“Sarah” will bring occasional rains with gusty winds over Batanes and Cagayan, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA).

Last spotted at 570 km. east of Tuguegarao City, Cagayan, it was heading northwest at 30 kph, with maximum sustained winds of 65 kph near the center, and gustiness of up to 80 kph.

The LPA, on the other hand, will cause scattered rain showers over the Ilocos, Cordillera, Central Luzon, and the rest of Cagayan Valley regions.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, strong winds will prevail over northern and central Luzon, where coastal waters will be rough.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over the rest of Luzon.

Over the Visayas and Mindanao, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
