MANILA -- Typhoon "Tisoy" continues to weaken and is now off the coast of Occidental Mindoro, the weather bureau said Tuesday afternoon.

The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said "Tisoy" now packs maximum sustained winds of 130 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 200 kph.

It is moving westward at 25 kph, and was last tracked at 110 kilometers northwest of San Jose, Occidental Mindoro, or 135 kilometers north of Coron, Palawan.

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 3 is raised over Oriental Mindoro, Occidental Mindoro including Lubang Island, and Batangas.

Metro Manila, Romblon, Camarines Norte, Bulacan, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Rizal, Quezon including Polillo Islands, Zambales, Marinduque, Cavite, and Laguna, northern portion of Camarines Sur (Cabugao, Libmanan, Pamplona, Pasacao, Sipocot, Lupi, Ragay, and Del Gallego), southern Nueva Ecija(Cabanatuan City, Cabiao, Gabaldon, Gapan City, General Tinio, Jaen, Laur, Palayan City, Peñaranda, San Antonio, San Isidro, San Leonardo, Santa Rosa, Aliaga, Licab, and Zaragoza), southern Aurora (Dipaculao, Maria Aurora, Baler, San Luis, and Dingalan), and Calamian Islands (Coron, Busuanga, Culion, and Linapacan) are currently under Signal No. 2.

Signal No. 1 remains hoisted over southern portion of Quirino (Nagtipunan), rest of Aurora, northern portion of Palawan (El Nido, Taytay, Araceli, Dumaran), rest of Camarines Sur, Cuyo Islands (Cuyo, Magsaysay, Agutaya), Pangasinan, southern portion of Nueva Vizcaya (Alfonso Castaneda, Aritao, Dupax Del Norte, Dupax Del Sur, Kasibu, and Santa Fe), Burias Island, and rest of Nueva Ecija, northern Aklan (Malay, Buruanga, Nabas, and Ibajay) and northern Antique (Caluya, Libertad, and Pandan).

PAGASA forecasts frequent to continuous heavy or isolated intense rains over Quezon and Rizal, occasional to frequent heavy rains over Mindoro provinces, Metro Manila, Central Luzon, rest of Calabarzon, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, Marinduque, and Romblon, and intermittent heavy rains over Calamian Islands, likely until Wednesday.

Gusty conditions may also be experienced in areas of northern Luzon, especially in the coastal and mountainous zones due to the northeast monsoon.

Meanwhile, PAGASA said sea travel is risky over the seaboards of areas under TCWS, the seaboards of northern Luzon and Visayas, the western seaboard of Palawan, and the northern and eastern seaboards of Mindanao due to rough sea conditions. (PNA)
