Veggie dealer yields marijuana, hand grenade in N. Vizcaya

BAMBANG, Nueva Vizcaya -- A 27-year-old vegetable dealer was arrested on Tuesday for possession of one kilo of dried marijuana leaves and a hand grenade during a buy-bust in Barangay Almaguer North here.

Operatives from the Nueva Vizcaya police, Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency and police anti-drug units nabbed Jan Ludi Maguslog alias Jan Louie Mamaril or Awi, 27, a vegetable dealer from Macate village.

He has been listed as a high-value target by authorities.

Maguslog yielded three sachets of dried marijuana leaves, a brick-type carton of dried marijuana packed with brown tape, a hand grenade, a mobile phone, motorcycle and assorted paraphernalia.

He will be charged with illegal sale and possession of dangerous drugs under Republic Act 9165, the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
