PAGADIAN CITY, Zamboanga del Sur – Another patient under investigation (PUI) who manifested deteriorating health conditions was hospitalized at the Zamboanga del Sur Medical Center (ZDSMC) here, an official said on Saturday.

Provincial Information Officer Jeesrel Himang said the patient is the seventh to be hospitalized among the 76 PUIs recorded as of 7 p.m. Friday in the province.

Himang said the persons under investigation (PUMs) climbed to 6,051 as of 7 p.m. Friday from 5,288 as of 6 a.m. Friday.

However, Himang said 94 of the 6.051 PUMs have been cleared as of Saturday since they have completed the 14-day quarantine period with no signs and symptoms.

He said the ZDSMC personnel disinfected the hospital’s out-patient department where the seventh PUI was earlier treated.

“We are still thankful having zero confirmed case of Covid-19 in the province,” he said.

The provincial government has placed under community quarantine effective March 16 to prevent the entry and spread of Covid-19. (PNA)
