BALANGA CITY, Bataan – The number of patients recovering from coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in this province continues to rise as 13 more were reported to have recovered from the dreaded disease.
This brought the total number of recoveries here to 120.
“I am happy to announce that 13 patients have newly-recovered from the dreaded disease and let us all pray that all will be healed,” Governor Albert Garcia said in a statement on Monday.
He said the list of new recoveries was based on the report of the Provincial Health Office on Sunday night.
Out of the 13 who have just recovered, the governor said 12 are health workers.
They are a 46-year-old male and a 30-year-old female from Mariveles; a 33-year-old male from Dinalupihan; a 21-year-old and a 37-year-old, both males, from Orion; and a 27-year-old male from Limay.
The health workers from this city who recovered are a 33-year-old male, a 28-year-old female, a 27-year-old male, a 31-year-old female, a 28-year-old female and a 22-year-old male.
A 67-year-old woman from Dinalupihan also was in the list of new recoveries.
Meanwhile, the number of confirmed Covid-19 cases remained at 147 and deaths at seven.
Of the 2,515 tested, 147 were confirmed cases, 399 are still awaiting their test results while 1,969 were found negative of the virus. (PNA)
