ILOILO CITY – A total of 104,027 Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) beneficiaries in this city, Iloilo province, and Bacolod City have already received their second tranche cash aid of the Social Amelioration Program (SAP).

Iloilo province, Iloilo City, and Bacolod City have been approved by the Inter-Agency Task Force for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases to receive the second wave of the government's financial assistance, said Ma. Evelyn Macapobre, regional director of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) in Region 6 (Western Visayas), in a virtual presser on Monday.

“On Thursday afternoon, the members of the Pantawid have automatically received their emergency subsidy. 104,027 4Ps beneficiaries from Iloilo province including Iloilo City, and Bacolod have already received (the aid). It is already deposited in their account,” Macapobre said.

She said 4Ps beneficiaries received an emergency subsidy of PH4,650 which is on top of their monthly cash grants for health of PHP750 and rice subsidy of PHP600.

4Ps beneficiaries received the first tranche of SAP last April 3.

Aside from the 4Ps beneficiaries, the DSWD regional office also targets to release the second tranche of the amelioration aid for non-4Ps families.

“Based on the list of the paid beneficiaries for the first tranche, we have 374,967 SAP beneficiaries from Iloilo and Iloilo City; and 98,143 from Bacolod City. We are working to release the 2nd tranche by June 24 because that is the effectivity of the 'Bayanihan to Heal as One law',” she said.

Earlier, the DSWD regional office asked local government units to submit their list of left-out or additional families for the second tranche of SAP.

Macapobre reported that 121 of the 133 local government units in the region have submitted their list of additional families while 12 other have no additional families for the amelioration program.

Meanwhile, she said the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) is helping the DSWD in reaching the public.

A text blast carrying the link www.ReliefAgad.ph where SAP beneficiaries can register their Social Amelioration Card (SAC) forms from June 12 to 16 have been received by the beneficiaries on Monday.

The DSWD-6 advised the public that Western Visayas is almost done with the encoding of the social amelioration cards.

The additional families who were not yet encoded by their local government unit can use the link to register.

“It does not mean that when you register, you will become beneficiaries. It will still undergo duplicity check,” Macapobre said. (PNA)
