Dagupan records another Covid-19 case

DAGUPAN CITY – A 44-year-old woman from Barangay Bonuan Binloc who had worked in Metro Manila is the latest coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) case here.

In a statement posted by the city’s Public Information Office on Thursday, Dr. Ophelia Rivera, the city’s Covid-19 focal person, said the female tested positive for Covid-19 on June 25.

“She had come from Makati City, where she was working. Upon arrival in Dagupan City on June 23, she, along with her two companions, went to their employer’s house, where they remained until the results of their tests came out,” the statement read.

Her two companions tested negative, it added.

The patient, although asymptomatic, was already admitted to the Region 1 Medical Center here.

The city government is now conducting contact tracing.

As of 6 p.m. on June 25, Dagupan City has 26 confirmed cases for Covid-19, 23 have recovered, two are admitted to the hospital and one has died. (PNA)
