MANILA – The Azkals Developmental Team (ADT) has opted to loan its main goalkeeper, Anthony Pinthus, to United City.

On Thursday, the former Ceres Negros club announced that Pinthus will join its roster on a loan deal for the 2020 Philippines Football League season.

Pinthus played for the Under-22 Azkals during last year's Southeast Asian Games.

The group makes up the core of the ADT, which is being groomed to become major forces for the Azkals' first team in the future.

However, while Pinthus remains an official member of the ADT, the loan and United City's acquisition of Pocholo Bugas and Stallion Laguna's signing of Finn McDaniel assure that the U22 Azkals will not be in full force for the ADT this season. (PNA)
