LAOAG CITY – Students engaged in virtual education in Bacarra, Ilocos Norte can now avail of free use of computers with high-speed internet and free printing services courtesy of the local government unit.

The youth center, locally known as Teddy V. E. Domingo computer hub, is equipped with at least nine desktop computers donated by the Department of Information and Communications Technology and some private stakeholders.

Educational books and other reference materials are also available for reading and research at the spacious i-hub center.

With the influx of students going to the i-hub center these days, town mayor Fritzie Dela Cruz-Gapasin said Tuesday "the youth center is strictly intended for school-related activities only.”

She said online games and noisy students are not allowed in the area. Students can also bring their own laptops and connect to the internet.

Plastic bottles or cups and other utensils are not also allowed inside but users can bring their own tumbler and have a refill at the water dispenser provided.

As the country continues to grapple with the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) health crisis, i-hub users are reminded to observe minimum health protocols. (PNA
