DAVAO CITY – The office of  Davao City 1st District Rep. Paolo "Pulong" Duterte turned over 20 units of water pumps in Barangay Bago Aplaya in Talomo District Wednesday to improve the water supply in the village.

A statement from the lawmaker's office said the water pumps were requested by barangay officials through a resolution, and intended to benefit 20 neighborhoods in the area.

According to village officials, the pumps would be useful for residential and agricultural purposes, aside from improving the village's water supply.

In the resolution, the barangay officials said their area "has a high-water table" and installing water pumps would result in a stable supply of potable water for residents. (PNA)
