BARMM logs highest single-day Covid-19 recoveries

COTABATO CITY – The Ministry of Health in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (MOH-BARMM) listed on Tuesday night 117 patients who have recovered from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19), the region’s highest in one day since March. 

Dr. Amirel Usman, BARMM acting health minister, said in an advisory on Wednesday that 117 patients across the five provinces of BARMM have overcome the disease and are heading for home to fully recover physically and emotionally.

This brought the region's number of Covid-19 recoveries to 1,310 out of 1,616 confirmed cases since March 18.

The MOH-BARMM also recorded on Tuesday 26 new infections in the region.

Usman said of the 26 new cases, 13 were from Sulu, nine from Maguindanao, and four from Lanao del Sur.

The region has 241 active cases and 65 deaths.

“Our efforts are continuing, there’s no letup,” he said of their continuing campaign against Covid-19. (PNA)
