MANILA – Most parts of the archipelago will experience isolated rain showers, the weather bureau said on Wednesday.

The trough of Typhoon Molave (international name, formerly Quinta) will bring scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Occidental Mindoro, Palawan, and Western Visayas.

“Molave” was last seen 500 km. northwest of the Kalayaan Islands, Palawan, outside the Philippine area of responsibility.

The tail-end of a frontal system, on the other hand, will cause light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms over Batanes and Cagayan.

The rest of the country will have isolated rain showers due to localized thunderstorms, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said.

Meanwhile, moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will prevail over the northern and western sections of Luzon.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
