CITY OF MALOLOS, Bulacan – Police personnel in this province have been deployed to various strategic places in the light of observance of All Saints' Day or "Undas" amid the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) pandemic.

Col. Lawrence Cajipe, provincial director of the Bulacan Police Provincial Office, said on Wednesday that more than 641 police personnel, together with 1,472 force multipliers were deployed to established police assistance desks (PADs), motorist assistance desks (MADs) and traffic assistance desks (TADs) in cemeteries, bus terminals, and points of entry and exit along North Luzon Expressway (NLEX).

Cajipe said teaming operations and inspections are being conducted in different police hubs established in cemeteries to prevent any untoward incidents and ensure strict implementation of the minimum safety and health protocols.

“The safety guidelines must be observed in places of convergence, including the strict enforcement of community quarantine rules and local ordinances,” he said in an interview.

Likewise, Cajipe said the Bulacan Police has intensified police visibility to guard residents against criminals.

He reminded Bulakenyos on the Inter-Agency Task Force's (IATF) Resolution No. 72 ordering the closure of all public and private cemeteries and memorial parks from Oct. 29 to Nov. 4 as part of the national government's stringent measures to control the spread of Covid-19. (PNA)
