COTABATO CITY – Health authorities have reported 51 new coronavirus disease (Covid-19) recoveries across Region 12 (Soccsksargen) as of Thursday evening.
Of the new recoveries, General Santos City logged 21; South Cotabato, 14; Cotabato City, 12; Sarangani, 3; and North Cotabato, 1.
“Despite this welcome development, however, we are not letting our guards down,” said Arjohn Gangoso, speaking for the Department of Health-Region 12.
Meanwhile, Gangoso said that 38 new Covid-19 confirmed cases were also reported on Thursday.
Of the new cases, Cotabato City has 17; General Santos City, 10; South Cotabato, 7; North Cotabato, 3; and Sultan Kudarat, 1.
As of March, Gangoso said the region has cumulative Covid-19 cases of 3,342, with 2,575 recoveries for a 77-percent recovery rate.
“Our recovery rate is increasing, and we hope to maintain that,” he said.
Active cases are at 656, with 110 deaths.
Of the active cases, General Santos City has 178; Cotabato City, 170; South Cotabato, 165; Sarangani, 71; and Sultan Kudarat, 18. (PNA)
