More flooded towns in Cagayan get relief goods

MANILA – Five more towns affected by heavy flooding in Cagayan province were provided with relief goods carried by two Philippine Air Force (PAF) UH-1H helicopters on Tuesday.

Lt. Col. Aristides Galang, PAF spokesperson, said the relief goods were delivered to affected families residing in the towns of Lasam, Solana, Lal-Lo, Allacapan, and Aparri.

"Rest assured, the PAF will be working round-the-clock in performing rescue and relief operations in support of our fellow Filipinos affected by disasters and calamities," Galang said.

Delivered were 1,050 kg. of relief items.

On the same day, the PAF Civil-Military Operations Group conducted humanitarian assistance and disaster response missions in Cagayan Valley and distributed some 1,135 bags of food packs and 172 sacks of donated rice, he added. (PNA)
