Light rains over Luzon Saturday

MANILA – The northern and central Luzon will experience isolated light rains Saturday due to the northeast monsoon.

In its daily weather bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said there will be cloudy skies with rains over Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Abra, Kalinga, Mountain Province, Cagayan, and Isabela.

The same weather system, it said, will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Central Luzon, the rest of the Ilocos Region, the rest of Cagayan Valley, Ifugao, and Benguet.

In Metro Manila and the rest of the country, there will be partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers brought by localized thunderstorms.

Winds in northern and central Luzon and the western section of southern Luzon will be moderate to strong and headed northeast, with moderate to rough coastal waters at 1.2 to 4 meters.

For the rest of Luzon and the eastern Visayas, there will be moderate to strong winds headed east to northeast and moderate to rough coastal waters at 1.2 to 3.4 meters.

In Mindanao and the rest of Visayas, there will be light to moderate winds headed northeast to north and slight to moderate coastal waters at 0.6 to 2.1 meters.

The temperature in Metro Manila will range from 24° C to 29° C; Tagaytay City from 21 ° C to 27° C; Puerto Princesa City from 25° C to 31° C; Metro Cebu from 25° C to 31° C; and Metro Davao from 24° C to 33° C. (PNA)
