MANILA – Oil companies and distributors have a surprise for consumers with a big increase in the prices of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) products at the start of a new year.

Petron hiked LPG prices by PHP4.16 per kilogram and its AutoLPG increased by PHP2.33 per liter.

Likewise, Phoenix LPG hiked Phoenix Super LPG price by PHP4.15 per kilogram, while AutoLPG price increased by PHP2.35 per liter.

Solane-branded LPG also increased its prices by PHP3.73 per kilogram.

These increments translate to PHP41.03 to PHP45.76 increase in prices of an 11-kilogram LPG tank.

The price adjustment reflects the movement of contract prices of LPG for January. (PNA)
