BACOLOD CITY – Anti-drug operatives of the Bacolod City Police Office (BCPO) have arrested four persons and seized PHP271,680 worth of suspected shabu in three separate by-busts here on Thursday.
At around 9:45 p.m., Albert Oñates, a street-level target, was caught selling shabu by the enforcement team of the Police Station 4 in Purok Bulak, Barangay Mandalagan.
The 31-year-old suspect yielded five sachets of shabu weighing about 17 grams valued at PHP115,600 along with a pack of suspected dried marijuana leaves and a marijuana plant, and the PHP500 marked money.
An hour before his arrest, personnel of Police Station 1 arrested two suspects in Purok Dughan, Barangay 10.
They were identified as Ana Marie Dacones, 42, and Vincent John Martinez, 28.
Operatives recovered 12 plastic sachets of shabu weighing 6.76 grams with a street value of PHP54,080 as well as two PHP100 bills, PHP300 proceeds money, and drug paraphernalia.
Earlier at around 5 a.m., Marc Plary Bayonita, 36, a high-value individual, was arrested at Arnaldo St., Purok Kahirup Village in Barangay Singcang-Airport.
During the operation conducted by the City Drug Enforcement Unit, the suspect yielded about 15 grams of shabu with a market value of PHP102,000.
Bayonita was detained at Police Station 8.
All suspects are facing charges for violation of Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002. (PNA)
