MANILA – The low pressure area (LPA) near Palawan will continue to bring scattered rain showers over parts of the country, the weather bureau said Thursday.
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the LPA, last observed 210 kilometers south-southwest of Puerto Princesa City, is embedded along the intertropical convergence zone (ITCZ) affecting Palawan and Mindanao.
These will cause scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Mimaropa, Western Visayas, Central Visayas, and Mindanao.
Scattered rain showers and thunderstorms will also be experienced over Metro Manila, Cagayan Valley, the Cordillera Administrative Region, Central Luzon, Quezon, and Rizal due to localized thunderstorms.
The rest of the country will experience isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.
Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will continue over Luzon.
Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
