MANILA – A low-pressure area (LPA) closes in from the west and is 185 km. west-northwest of Dagupan City in Pangasinan while the tail-end of a frontal system (shear line) affects the eastern section of Northern Luzon.

In its daily weather forecast on Saturday, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said the tail-end of the frontal system will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms to the Cagayan Valley, Cordillera, and Ilocos region.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms brought by localized thunderstorms.

Moderate winds will blow northeast in extreme Northern Luzon, causing moderate coastal waters.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds headed east to southeast, with slight to moderate coastal waters.

Meanwhile, the temperature in Metro Manila will range from 25°C to 31°C; Tagaytay City, 23°C to 30°C; Puerto Princesa City, 25°C to 32°C; Metro Cebu, 24°C to 32°C; Cagayan de Oro City, 23°C to 31°C; and Metro Davao, 24°C to 33°C. (PNA)
