LINGAYEN, Pangasinan – The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) provincial office has inspected 13,828 buildings in Pangasinan in January this year.
In his report Thursday, provincial fire marshal Superintendent Georgian Pascua said of the total number, 1,332 are newly-constructed buildings while the remaining 12,496 were reviewed for renewal of business permits.
Dagupan City ranked first with most establishments inspected at 1,752, followed by Alaminos City with 904 inspected buildings, Rosales with 766, Mangatarem with 750, and San Carlos City with 665 buildings inspected, he said.
The fire safety inspection is an annual activity done by the BFP and is a necessary requirement for the renewal and issuance of business permits.
The BFP is in partnership with the local government units through their Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS) registrations. (PNA)
