PULILAN, Bulacan – Senator Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go said he prefers his vaccination against the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) be made public in order to erase misconceptions about vaccines.

“Let's get the confidence of every Filipino for the vaccine. This is the only solution against Covid-19,” Go told the media during his visit here on Tuesday to provide assistance to those affected by the typhoon last year.

Go urged everyone to brush aside fears and be vaccinated.

“Ngayong panahon ng pandemiya, kapit lang, tiis lang po tayo ng konti makakaraos din tayo. Huwag po kayo matakot sa bakuna nandito kami para sa inyo mahal namin kayo ni Pangulong Duterte (In this time of pandemic, let us be patient and we will survive. Do not be afraid of the vaccines. We are here for you. President Duterte and I love you),” Go said as he assured that every poor Bulakenyo will receive the Covid-19 vaccine.

He also urged the locals to avail of the benefits provided by the “Malasakit Center” at the Bulacan Medical Center in Malolos City and Dr. Rogaciano Medical Center in Sta. Maria.

Go and his team led a relief operation and distribution of food packs and cash assistance to 431 Bulakenyos who were affected by Typhoon Ulysses, at the Pulilan Central School in Barangay Poblacion.

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD), on the other hand, provided PHP3,000 to PHP5,000 cash assistance for those with totally and partially damaged houses.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) distributed a “Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa" package while the National Housing Authority (NHA) provided housing materials.

Meanwhile, the Department of Health (DOH) distributed vitamins and medicines.

Mayor Maria Rosario “Maritz” Ochoa-Montejo, together with the members of the Sangguniang Bayan and some village officials, joined the relief operation. (PNA)
