MANILA – Filipina fighter Jenelyn Olsim introduced herself to the ONE Championship community with a big shocker over world-ranked No. 5 women's strawweight Maira Mazar of Brazil at ONE: Fist of Fury 3 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.

In a previously recorded showdown between the strikers, which was shown on Friday night, Olsim, a member of the fabled Team Lakay, pulled off the upset with a third-round guillotine choke.

Making her first bout in the main roster, the ONE Warrior Series alumna knocked Mazar down twice in the first round and even got a chance for the guillotine choke.

Olsim opened Round 2 with a powerful kick that knocked Mazar down again and was in control in the early goings of the period until Mazar got her rhythm late in the round with a takedown.

Mazar seemed to have taken Olsim down again early into Round 3, but Olsim had already set up another guillotine attempt.

So when the takedown happened, she quickly overturned it into a successful front guillotine that forced Mazar to tap out.

Olsim moved up to 4-2 overall, while Mazar fell to 7-4.

Meanwhile, Filipino-Indonesian fighter Aziz Calim fell prey to India's Roshan Mainam.

Mainam once again did not need the scorecards to decide the match as he quickly took Calim down and never gave him a chance to recover.

His ground-game brilliance led to an opening for the match-deciding rear-naked choke submission.

Mainam improved his record to 6-2, with all his victories by stoppages, while Calim slipped to 5-5. (PNA)
