BAGUIO CITY – The Cordillera Administrative Region (CAR) on Monday recorded the highest single-day coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) recovery rate with 520.
The Department of Health-Cordillera Administrative Region (DOH-CAR) tracker shows this city has the most number of recoveries at 203, followed by Mountain Province with 115, Benguet with 112, Kalinga with 40, Ifugao has 27, Apayao has 15, and Abra with 8 recoveries.
As of March 29, the region has a total of 2,092 active Covid-19 cases out of the 19,498 total since the pandemic started last year.
Of the total active cases, 1,188 are asymptomatic; 935 with mild symptoms; 110 moderate; five severe; one in critical condition, while 62 are for verification.
For the period March 22 to 29, Cordillera recorded a total of 1,349 recoveries.
Dr. Ruby Constantino, DOH-CAR regional director, reiterated the importance of early detection and early consultation to prevent placing the patient at higher risk especially if the patient has comorbidities or is suffering from other illnesses.
“If you have any symptoms, better to check with the doctor. There is no need to go to the hospital if you do not want to visit the medical facility but there are tele-medicine and tele-consultation services which are now available and accessible,” she said. (PNA)
