MRT-3 releases Edsa bus carousel pick-up, drop-off points

MANILA – The Metro Rail Transit Line 3 (MRT-3) on Wednesday released the list of the pick-up and drop-off points of buses plying the Epifanio Delos Santos Avenue (Edsa) Carousel to ensure adequate transportation despite the Holy Week shutdown of the rail line.

In a Facebook post, the MRT-3 said Edsa Carousel buses will begin loading and unloading passengers from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. at these points:

-Monumento

-Bagong Barrio

-Balintawak

-Kaingin Road

-LRT-1 Roosevelt Station

-MRT-3 North Avenue Station

-MRT-3 Quezon Avenue Station

-Nepa Q-Mart

-Main Avenue (Cubao)

-MRT-3 Santolan Station

-MRT-3 Ortigas Station

-Guadalupe Bridge

-MRT-3 Buendia Station (curbside)

-MRT-3 Ayala Station (curbside)

-Taft Avenue (curbside)

-SM Mall of Asia

-PITX-Terminal

Meanwhile, the MRT-3 continues the maintenance and upgrade of its train system during the second day of its annual maintenance shutdown during the Holy Week.

Puspusan ang isinasagawang cleaning at repainting ng mga vertical drop at iba pang Overhead Catenary System (OCS) equipment ng MRT-3 (The cleaning and repainting of vertical drops and other OCS equipment of the MRT-3 are in full swing),” the MRT-3 said.

It said the cleaning and repainting of OCS equipment are being performed at the Guadalupe, Buendia, and Ayala stations by MRT-3 maintenance provider Sumitomo-MHI-TESP.

On Tuesday, the MRT-3 temporarily suspended train operations to make way for the annual maintenance shutdown of the rail line.

The MRT-3 will resume regular operations on April 5. (PNA)
