DAVAO CITY – Mayor Sara Z. Duterte said she flew to Singapore for health reasons and is on leave from April 6-10.

Mayor Sara issued the statement Wednesday following a Manila Bulletin report, saying she flew to Singapore from Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 in Pasay City Tuesday afternoon (April 6).

Duterte said she is in Singapore for "personal health management."

“I have a travel authority to Singapore from the DILG {Department of the Interior and Local Government]. The reason is personal health management,” the presidential daughter said.

Duterte also assured that all protocols for her return to this city, including RT-PCR [reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction] testing and 14-day quarantine, have been prearranged.

According to the Manila Bulletin report, Mayor Sara arrived at NAIA Terminal 2 via Philippine Airlines (PAL) flight from Davao at around 9 a.m. By 2:15 p.m., she had boarded a Singapore-bound Singapore Airlines flight (SQ-917).

In September last year, Mayor Sara also took a medical leave for a week.

"She will be out of town for medical purposes. She is continuously present online to meet deadlines for her office," the local government said in a Facebook post on Wednesday. (PNA)
