MANILA – Eastern Visayas, Caraga, and the Davao Region will experience scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to Typhoon Bising, the weather bureau said Friday afternoon.

"Bising" was last tracked 895 kilometers east of Surigao City, Surigao del Norte, moving westward at 15 km. per hour (kph)

The typhoon packs maximum sustained winds of 130 kph near the center and gustiness of up to 160 kph.

Earlier, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said "Bising" is not directly causing severe weather conditions over any part of the country and is less likely to make landfall.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country will continue to experience isolated rain showers caused by localized thunderstorms.

Moderate to strong winds and moderate to rough seas will still prevail over the eastern section of the Visayas, and Mindanao.

Elsewhere, winds will be light to moderate with slight to moderate seas, PAGASA said. (PNA)
