BUTUAN CITY – The total recoveries from coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) in Caraga Region stood at 8,065 as of Monday, the Department of Health in Caraga (DOH-13) reported.
Active cases as of Monday stood at 924, while total cases at 9,321 with 332 recorded deaths since the pandemic was declared last year.
“Of the remaining active cases in the region, 65.3 percent are considered asymptomatic, 30.7 percent are having mild symptoms, 3.5 percent are with severe symptoms, and 0.5 percent in critical conditions,” DOH-13 said in a statement.
At present, 66 percent of ICU beds, 68 percent of isolation beds, and 86 percent of ward beds are available for use. Ninety-two percent of the 37 ventilators are also available in the region.
As of April 18, a total of 34,538 individuals in the region have already received their Covid-19 vaccines.
The agency also announced on Monday the 40 new Covid-19 cases in the region, 31 of which are in this city.
“The 40 new cases are now in isolation in different facilities in the region,” it said. (PNA)
