Zambo City starts A2, A3 priority groups vaccination

ZAMBOANGA CITY--The City Health Office pushed forward started Thursday the inoculation of senior citizens and people with comorbidities here.

Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar said Friday the City Health Office (CHO) is utilizing some 900 available vaccine doses on hand, which are the excess from the A1 priority group allocation.

The A1 priority group consists of medical front-liners while the A2 and A3 are the senior citizens and people with comorbidities, respectively.

Dr. Dulce Amor Miravite, CHO chief, said Friday the vaccines will be administered to A2 and A3 priority individuals who have been master-listed.

Miravite said the rollout of A2 and A3 inoculation is also in preparation for the arrival of more vaccines from the Department of Health (DOH).

She said that the registration for senior citizens and those with co-morbidities along with other priority groups is ongoing.

Initially, she said some 26,374 senior citizens registered for vaccination. (PNA)
