MANILA – Quezon City on Monday began assisted booking appointments for coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) vaccination in a number of villages.

In a Facebook post, the city government likewise reiterated walk-in vaccinees will not be entertained.

Limitado pa lang ang supply ng lungsod. Hinihingi po namin ang inyong pang-unawa habang hinihintay pa ang karagdagang supply mula sa Department of Health (The city has a limited supply for now. We are asking for your understanding while we are waiting for the additional supply from the Department of Health),” the city government post read.

For Monday, bookings were accepted in Barangay Old Balara at the Old Balara Elementary School in District 3 and at Barangay Mariana Hall for Barangays Damayang Lagi, Kalusugan, Kristong Hari, and Mariana in District 4.

On Tuesday, it will be at Barangay Bahay Toro at the Toro Hills Elementary School in District 1; Barangay Dona Imelda with the venue at SM Sta. Mesa for District 4; and Barangays Apolonio Samson, Balon Bato, and Unang Sigaw with the venue at the Bonifacio Elementary School for District 6.

Scheduled on Wednesday are Barangay Batasan Hills at its village hall and Barangay Payatas at the Lupang Pangako area through the QC Protektodo Bus for District 2.

On May 6, Thursday, Barangay Bagbag, Gulod, and San Bartolome residents can book at the San Bartolome Elementary School for District 5.

The venues are open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. with 300 slots for each venue, except Barangay Mariana Hall which will have 500 slots.

QC residents appreciate that schedules are posted online to avoid confusion.

“Waiting waiting kami for the schedule ng aming barangay para makapag pa-book na sa vaccine (We will just wait for the schedule of our barangay so we can immediately book for the vaccination),” posted Madelyn Mae Siuga on Facebook.

Another netizen was thankful for the new process.

Mabuti po at may assisted booking dahil mahirap ang online booking lalo na kung nagkakasabay ang mga nag-online (It is good that we have this assisted booking because we find online booking difficult especially when many residents are online at the same time),” Khim Yantul said. (PNA)
