ZAMBOANGA CITY – The City Health Office (CHO) said some 13,795 residents from three priority groups have been inoculated against the coronavirus disease (Covid-19) as of Friday.

Dr. Dulce Amor Miravite, CHO chief, said the vaccinated residents consist of 10,449 belonging to the A1 priority group who have already received their first and second doses.

The rest comprises 2,490 from the A2 and 856 under the A3 priority groups, Miravite said.

The A1, A2, and A3 priority groups consist of health front-liners, senior citizens, and persons with comorbidities aged 18 to 59, respectively.

Miravite said each of the local government's 19 vaccination sites is capable of inoculating up to 100 persons per day.

Currently, some 47,358 individuals have already signed up for inoculation.

Miravite said the pace of the vaccination depends on the number of doses provided by the Department of Health (DOH).

The DOH regional office has so far received 6th batches of vaccines coming from its central office, with the latest arriving here on Tuesday consisting of 52,800 doses of AstraZeneca jabs. (PNA)
