2 drug dens dismantled; 12 suspects nabbed in Zambales

CITY OF SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga – Operatives dismantled two suspected drug dens that led to the arrest of 12 drug personalities during simultaneous operations in Subic, Zambales on Sunday.
 
Report from the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Central Luzon said a total of 27.55 grams of shabu with estimated street value of PHP186,575 and assorted drug paraphernalia were confiscated by the joint elements of the PDEA-Zambales, Subic Police Station, and Provincial Intelligence Unit-Zambales in two anti-illegal drug operations in Subic.
 
The first buy-bust operation was conducted in Barangay Matain where some PHP81,575 worth of illegal drugs were seized.
 
Seven drug suspects were arrested. They were identified as Felix Predas Jr., Loida Predas, Rico Mamaril, Jhoan Diaz, Renie Sapnu, Nino Carias, and Crisanto Padilla.
 
The second drug sting operation in Barangay Calapacuan yielded some PHP105,000 worth of illegal drugs.
 
It resulted in the arrests of Benjamin Cruz, Elmer Bais, Rex Soriano, Emmanuel Reyes, and Marvin Toralba.
 
Charges for violation of the Republic Act 9165, also known as the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, will be filed against the arrested suspects. (PNA)
